I have not seen any skirmishable ACM k98k without heavy modifications, and we have many of those rifles in Finland.

Will the scope not zero to compensate for this? If it's spot on with open sights, I'd suggest it's not barrel alignment that's the problem but your scopes' zero.

Finally got to put about 500 rounds through my springer conversion today and it looks like the teflon mod to the hop is working a bit TOO well! I'm going to have to switch to .3g bb's at least, as .25g's curve up after about 40M even with the hop fully off!

I think the barrel is out of alingment with the reciever although it does not look it, at 20 meters the bbs through the scope are about 10 feet out to the left, just need to mod the mounts to compenstate, although with the range of a bb the open sights are fine,

After skirmishing with my VSR98K at the Varsity game, I decided that the magazine catch which I devised, whilst being effective at retaining the mag, was a bit too fiddly to use whilst in the field as it required a key to turn the screw and release the magazine. So I decided that the only way to go was to install the original VSR10 mag catch. Well, let me tell you it was a total S.O.B to do and took me the best part of 4 hours of fettling and fine tuning to get it just right, the tolerances are very, very small and there is not much room to work or get the right tools in. Anyway its done and works absolutely perfectly, exactly like a normal VSR10 infact! :D

Thanks guys,I think it was worth the effort. I don't have any concerns over durability, there is still enough wood left to retain structural integrity.this way I also still retain the forward mount point for the receiver which keeps things nice and solid.

Not really any good for skirmishing, but just got my d-boys back from the gunsmiths:

Real wood stock (Belgian) and it now loads from stripper clips, so i'm happy.

Just about to start my conversion and I have a couple of questions, probably loads, but just two to start!

Sgt Heide/Boshman.
In the picture showing which bits of the trigger guard to remove and in subsequent pictures of the trigger guard on each of your rifles there appears to be a slight difference. On Sgt Heide's it appears that almost all of the front trigger guard screw hole is removed, but on Boshmans he originally used the front screw to hold in the mag. Is this perhaps the slight dimension difference between an MP001 and a Bar 10?

Boshman,
Is it possible to see exactly what mods you made to the reciever to make it fit rather the cutting out the stock to make the Bar 10 fit?
Have you had any problems with the integrity of the reciever following the cut outs you made?

Thanks Guys
Regards
'shokt
